Ownership

The entire share capital of Sydney & London Properties is owned by interests of its founder, Michael Gross MBE.

Michael Gross read law at London University and then subsequently qualified as a Member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants for England and Wales. In 1981 he graduated from the Harvard Business School.

From 1972 to 1980 he was Managing Director of the E Alec Colman Group, a property based organisation, which also had extensive industrial holdings in the furniture, roof tile and data storage areas.

From 1981 he set up his own company Gross Hill Properties in partnership with Hill Samuel and Co. bankers, which became one of the largest owners and operators of residential ground rents in the United Kingdom. In 1987, in partnership with the FAI Insurance Corporation of Australia, Gross Hill founded Sydney & London Properties as its commercial property vehicle.

Sydney & London Properties is now entirely owned by Michael Gross’ family interests. With the help of a small but highly committed and professional team, he has built up a substantial business based on the acquisition of long term rental income streams derived from quality tenants financed with appropriate long-term funding.

The experience and expertise of the Board of Directors and the management team has permitted Michael Gross to become non-resident and pursue other interests throughout the world whilst remaining available in a consultative capacity.
